Financial Management & Accounting Specialist

About the role

ICBC Turkey is seeking an experienced professional to join the Financial Management and Accounting Unit within the Financial Control and Accounting Department. The role serves as the technical authority on complex accounting treatments, regulatory changes, and system mapping for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory and guidance on accounting treatments, local regulations, and variance analyses.
• Monitor and assess updates to Turkish accounting and tax policies, evaluating business impact and designing implementation roadmaps.
• Lead the mapping between the Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts (BTHP) and international reporting structures.
• Offer expert opinions on high‑risk accounting areas, manage cross‑period adjustments, and oversee cleanup of transition/suspense accounts.
• Translate statutory clauses into clear operational guidelines and deliver internal training to raise team capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, or Finance (preferred).
• Deep, authoritative knowledge of Turkish Financial Reporting Standards (TMS/TFRS).
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on financial accounting and technical compliance experience (5‑6 years acceptable for exceptional candidates).
• Strong logical reasoning, structured problem‑solving, and research‑driven approach.
• Proven ability to mentor junior or mid‑level team members.
• Long‑term commitment to ICBC Turkey and openness to new working requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with office software.
