General Accountant

About the role

ALUMIL is seeking a General Accountant to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations, support strategic decision‑making and maintain the integrity of financial reporting for its Turkish subsidiary.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare income statements, balance sheets and cash‑flow statements reflecting the company’s financial status.
• Handle regular tax declarations and ensure timely submission.
• Develop annual budgets, perform variance analysis and monitor daily cash flow.
• Manage settlement of invoices, salaries and supplier payments.
• Identify financial risks (currency, credit) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (Tax Procedure Law, Turkish Commercial Code, IFRS).
• Oversee accounting contracts, purchase and sales agreements for legal compliance.
• Lead the accounting team, assign tasks, monitor performance and support development.
• Maintain and secure accounting software, optimize ERP usage.
• Communicate with tax authorities and legal institutions for audits and reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• 5‑7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the industry.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Fluent English.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Turkish tax regulations.
