General Maintenance Technician

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the daily operation of its property vehicles and equipment in Istanbul. The role involves routine inspections, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability of all assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on property vehicles such as engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts (oil checks, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charging, spark plug replacement).
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Maintain accurate maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Document daily logs of operation, maintenance, safety activities, test results, instrument readings, and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all company safety, security, and environmental policies; report hazards, accidents, and store flammable materials properly.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, prepare written documents, and answer telephone inquiries using appropriate etiquette.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• At least 2 years of related maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Capability to work overhead, bend, twist, and stoop safely.
