Host – Guest Services (Restaurant)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, discreet, and unobtrusive Host to welcome guests, manage reservations, and ensure a seamless dining experience. The role involves interacting with guests both in‑person and via phone, maintaining accurate guest profiles, and supporting the restaurant’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, seat, and attend to guests with a courteous and professional demeanor.
• Take and manage reservations following established standards.
• Handle internal and external calls using proper telephone etiquette.
• Create and maintain guest profiles in the Table Management System (TMS) with accurate information.
• Stay informed about food and beverage menus, operating hours, and weekly updates on social platforms (e.g., Sevenrooms, Instagram).
• Utilise the POS system to locate existing guest profiles according to policy.
• Observe and report the condition of facilities and equipment, recommending improvements as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a food & beverage outlet with similar standards (hotel‑based or standalone).
• Degree or diploma in hotel management or related field.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent English communication; additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, driven by precision and excellence.

Required skills

• Experience with restaurant reservation systems such as OpenTable and 7Rooms.
• Proficiency in using a POS system.
• Ability to work with a Table Management System (TMS) for guest profiling.
