HSE Supervisor - 3-Month Assignment in Turkey

About the role

A 3-month on-site HSE supervision assignment in Turkey, starting as soon as possible, focused on civil engineering construction sites. The role covers HSE oversight, risk management and safety training on projects involving bridges, viaducts, foundations, retaining walls and heavy lifting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily HSE activities, ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations, and run regular inspections with follow-up on corrective actions.
• Monitor safety during heavy lifting, working at height, excavation, special foundations and prestressing/post-tensioning, and verify PPE and collective protection use.
• Take part in risk assessments before critical operations and prepare and review Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses, Method Statements and Permit to Work systems.
• Organize toolbox talks, deliver inductions for new staff and subcontractors, and support site management in promoting a strong safety culture.
• Participate in internal and external HSE audits, record and analyse incidents and near misses, and track KPIs.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant qualification in HSE, civil engineering or a related field.
• Significant HSE supervision experience in construction and civil engineering; ideally a minimum of 5 years.
• Proven experience on major infrastructure projects such as bridges, viaducts, tunnels or special foundations; international project experience is an advantage.
• Fluent Turkish and professional working English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HSE risks in civil engineering and construction.
• Proficiency in risk assessments, JSA, PTW and method statements.
• Good knowledge of international HSE management systems and safety standards.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certification highly appreciated.
