Import Specialist

About the role

The Import Specialist will support Watsons Turkey’s supply chain by managing import processes, coordinating with logistics partners and customs brokers, and ensuring compliance with Turkish customs regulations. This role bridges the supply planning team and external partners to guarantee timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Organise picking of orders placed by the supply planning team.
• Coordinate shipment delivery requirements with logistics providers and customs brokers.
• Prepare and control documentation required for customs clearance, ensuring accurate declarations and avoiding penalties.
• Maintain physical and digital archives in line with customs policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to stay compliant with Turkish customs laws.
• Analyse performance of 3PL partners and produce time‑ and cost‑based reports to improve service quality.
• Research and establish relationships with forwarders and agents.
• Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any findings promptly.
• Assist the Non‑Trade Procurement team with tenders to uphold operational quality.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in foreign trade and international logistics.
• Strong attention to detail and result‑driven attitude.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Quantitative and analytical abilities for data interpretation.
