Income Controller

About the role

Rixos Tersane Istanbul, a waterfront destination project combining hospitality, lifestyle, culture, gastronomy, retail and entertainment, is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Income Controller to join its Finance team. The role reviews and verifies daily revenue across hotel outlets and operational departments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify daily revenue reports from all hotel outlets and operational departments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile daily revenue figures across the Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems and financial reporting systems.
• Verify room revenue, food and beverage revenue, outlet sales and other income against supporting documentation and system records.
• Check daily transactions, discounts, complimentary items, voids, refunds, allowances and rebates for proper authorization and accurate recording.
• Investigate revenue discrepancies, identify irregularities and coordinate with departments to resolve them promptly.
• Verify payment transactions and reconcile cash, credit card and other payment methods against daily revenue reports.
• Review cashier reports, cash deposits and outlet closing procedures for compliance with financial controls.
• Monitor revenue posting so that income is recorded in the correct accounts and accounting periods.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly revenue reconciliation reports and highlight significant variances to Finance management.
• Maintain revenue documents and reports ready for audit, support month-end closing, and recommend improvements to reduce revenue leakage.
• Work with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Reservations and other departments on accurate revenue reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous experience in income audit, revenue control or a similar position, preferably in a luxury hotel.
• Good knowledge of hotel revenue streams, daily revenue reconciliation, cashiering procedures and internal financial controls.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and integrity.
• Good command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel management systems (PMS), POS systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
