Interim Finance & Accounting Executive (6-Month Contract)

About the role

Mindpicked, a recruitment firm, is recruiting an Interim Finance & Accounting Executive on a 6-month contract for a leading multinational client in the manufacturing industry. The role provides hands-on support for year-end closing, financial reporting and audit-related activities within an international group environment, with availability at short notice and flexibility for on-site and/or remote support during the critical closing and audit period.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for year-end closing, financial reporting and audit-related activities within an international group environment.
• Take ownership of critical accounting processes and ensure timely and accurate completion of year-end closing.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and group reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review accounting adjustments, including those related to IAS 29 hyperinflation accounting.
• Analyze accounting entries in SAP, investigate discrepancies and support corrective journal entries.
• Coordinate closely with Group Finance and external auditors, and support the preparation of audit documentation and timely responses to audit requests.
• Review key balance sheet accounts such as fixed assets, GR/IR balances and VAT-related accounts.

Required profile

• Extensive hands-on experience in financial accounting, year-end closing and audit preparation within an international group environment.
• Proven practical experience with IAS 29 hyperinflation accounting, including restatement of fixed assets, equity and P&L.
• Experience managing audit preparation and supporting external auditors.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations, fixed assets, GR/IR balances, VAT-related accounts and other year-end closing activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced level of English.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and ability to assess complex accounting matters and prepare adjustments.
• Solid understanding of international group reporting, reporting packages and reconciliations between local records and group requirements.
• Advanced SAP experience, including analysis of accounting entries and investigation of discrepancies.
