Internal Audit Executive

About the role

ONUR Group is seeking an Internal Audit Executive to strengthen its risk, control and governance environment across multiple businesses and geographies. The role will support transparent and sustainable growth by providing independent assurance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop risk‑based annual and multi‑year internal audit plans aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives and obtain Board or Audit Committee approval.
• Plan, lead and complete financial, operational, process, regulatory compliance and IT audits.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of the Group‑wide internal control framework, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Report findings with clear risk ratings, root causes, impacts and practical recommendations to senior leadership.
• Monitor corrective actions, establish audit methodology, working papers and quality‑assurance programmes.
• Build and develop the internal audit team, overseeing performance, resourcing and professional development.
• Leverage ERP systems, data analytics and technology‑enabled audit tools to enhance audit coverage.
• Lead or support whistleblowing, fraud and misconduct investigations in coordination with Legal and Ethics & Compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management or internal control, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience establishing or transforming internal audit functions in complex, multi‑entity or international organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards, COSO, ERM frameworks and fraud risk management.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, mining or logistics sectors is highly preferred.
• Professional qualifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, ACCA or similar are an advantage.
