IT Application Operation Engineer

About the role

Hepsiburada is looking for an IT Application Operation Engineer to manage and operate production application environments, ensuring high availability and performance across its e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain on‑premises Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Monitor system health with alerting tools, manage alarms/events, and proactively prevent incidents.
• Track SLA targets, report KPIs, and drive continuous operational improvements.
• Build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting structures.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to improve system reliability.
• Document systems, processes, and operational procedures, and support capacity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunication or related field.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT application operations.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• On‑premises environment installation, configuration and management.
• Monitoring and observability tools (ELK stack or similar).
• Dashboard and visualization tools (Grafana, Kibana, Power BI).
• Databases (SQL/NoSQL) querying and performance analysis.
• Stateful systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, Elasticsearch.
• Kubernetes production environment management.
• Linux systems and basic networking concepts.
• ITIL processes.
