IT Test Engineer

About the role

Ericsson is seeking an IT Test Engineer to join its QA team in Izmir. You will work closely with development and cross‑functional teams to ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of IT applications throughout the testing lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and design effective test cases for functional and performance testing.
• Plan, design, and execute functional and performance testing activities, including manual and automated test execution.
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts and perform related unit testing.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain test environments, test data, and testing scenarios.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools, retest resolved defects, and manage the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze issues, follow up on fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to improving test coverage, testing efficiency, automation, and overall QA processes.

Required profile

• Experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a related IT testing role.
• Good understanding of testing methodologies, processes, and the defect lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex application issues.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused mindset and proactive approach to continuous improvement.
