Java Software Developer

About the role

tsys is looking for a Java Software Developer in Istanbul who works through the software development life cycle and helps create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications. The role involves collaborating with business and technology teams on internal and external client software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop basic to moderately complex code using front-end and/or back-end languages across multiple platforms, and write routine to moderately complex program specifications.
• Analyze, modify and develop moderately complex code and unit tests, and perform testing and validation of code changes.
• Create application documentation, implementation plans and deliverables, and recommend changes to development and system standards.
• Take part in client-facing meetings, joint venture discussions and vendor partnership teams to define solution approaches.
• Support leadership on business and infrastructure application standards, including PCI security compliance, and provide basic billable-hour and resource estimates.
• Assist with on-the-job training and guide other software engineers.

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Typically at least 4 years of professional experience coding, designing, developing and analyzing data; 6+ years preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more front/back-end languages and technologies, and a moderate understanding of others.
• Experience with APIs, external services, relational and NoSQL databases.

• Frameworks: Node.js, React.js, Angular, Redux.
• Tools: Eclipse, Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp.
• Mobile: iOS, Android; Machine learning: Python, R, Matlab, TensorFlow, DMTK.
