Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect (React, Telecom)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of a modern telecommunications platform. This remote position, based in Turkey, will involve hands‑on development, architectural leadership, and mentoring of a small full‑stack team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical architecture for a customer portal and integration platform within the BSS/OSS domain.
• Lead technical discovery, assess requirements, evaluate options, and establish implementation strategy for the MVP.
• Design scalable micro‑services, domain models, REST APIs, event‑driven components and integration flows using DDD principles.
• Write production‑grade Java and Spring Boot code while balancing architecture and coding duties (≈50/50 split).
• Mentor three full‑stack developers, conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
• Shape React/TypeScript frontend architecture, set UI standards and contribute to implementation when needed.
• Design secure authentication/authorization using OAuth2, OIDC, Spring Security and RBAC, and guide workflow orchestration with Camunda or Flowable.
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA on AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and contract testing.

Required profile

• 8+ years of commercial Java development and at least 2 years in a Tech Lead or Solution Architect role.
• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript and micro‑service architectures.
• Telecommunications background, preferably with ISP, BSS/OSS, broadband or order‑management systems.
• Strong knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs, OAuth2/OIDC, and security best practices.
• Proficiency in English (B2+/C1) for direct communication with UK‑based stakeholders.
