Junior Accounting Associate – Remote (Turkey)

About the role

Manay CPA, a global full-service accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is looking for a Junior Accounting Associate. The role offers hands-on experience with U.S. GAAP, tax codes and business operations, working with a diverse client base across many industries. It is fully remote, with work hours based on U.S. time zones (EST); travel may be required.

Key responsibilities

• Support client onboarding for assigned engagements and follow defined procedures.
• Help with accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping entries, monthly close, financial reporting and analysis, and possibly payroll and special projects.
• Prepare depreciation schedules, sales journals and sales tax returns, and review and reconcile payroll records and employment tax returns.
• Support audits and general ledger reconciliation, and help assess and research complex tax issues.
• Assist with revenue forecasting, profit margin analysis, and the preparation and filing of corporate and individual income tax returns (e.g., annual 1099s).

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Entry-level position: candidates with up to 2 years of experience are ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Business English; interviews are held in English.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Accounting software experience is a big plus; US GAAP knowledge is a big plus.
