Junior Legal Counsel – In-House Corporate Law

About the role

A fixed-term Junior Legal Counsel position within the Country Legal Department at the Istanbul Maltepe headquarters. It suits a recent law graduate who wants broad, hands-on experience in an in-house corporate legal environment, working closely with senior members of the Legal Department on commercial, contractual, regulatory compliance and corporate matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to senior members of the Legal Department and relevant business units.
• Assist with commercial, contractual, corporate and regulatory compliance matters.
• Support the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, reports, correspondence and other documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments such as the Official Gazette and regulatory authority websites, and share key updates with the team.
• Help identify and assess legal and regulatory risks and support the implementation of appropriate actions.
• Respond to day-to-day legal queries from business and technical teams.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reports, trackers and legal records.
• Work with colleagues across functions and contribute to corporate, administrative and other legal projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a leading university; recent law school graduate.
• Excellent command of written and spoken Turkish and English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, integrity and professional discretion.
• Ability to work in a multinational environment and collaborate with regional and global stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of fundamental legal principles and eagerness to learn across areas of law.
• Organised, able to manage several priorities under tight deadlines, proactive and self-motivated.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
