Lawyer - Employment, Litigation and Contracts

About the role

FTG Development, a global real estate group with an international property portfolio based in Turkey, is looking for a Lawyer to join its Legal Team in Istanbul. The role focuses on employment law, litigation management and contract law, providing day-to-day legal support to the business.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment law matters, including employment contracts, terminations, disciplinary processes, workplace policies and compliance with Turkish Labour Law.
• Manage and follow up on litigation and enforcement proceedings, especially employment-related cases, preparing petitions and attending hearings where required.
• Coordinate with external counsel and monitor case progress, deadlines and outcomes.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including service, supply, consultancy and lease agreements.
• Prepare legal opinions, notices and correspondence in Turkish and English.
• Monitor legal and regulatory compliance, including KVKK requirements.
• Work closely with Human Resources, Finance and project teams to identify and manage legal risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law; registered with the Istanbul Bar Association.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.
• Proven experience in employment law, litigation management and contract law.
• Preferred: experience in the real estate, construction or hospitality sectors, and experience working with international teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Turkish Labour Law and employment litigation.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases.
