Lead Product Designer

About the role

Scrambly is a fast-growing adtech startup building a reward-powered alternative to the App Store and Google Play. As Lead Product Designer, you will fully own the product design function end-to-end, owning the quality, consistency and impact of the user experience across all mobile and web products. This is a hands-on leadership role: initially you design core experiences yourself while setting the design vision, strategy, standards and culture, then you build and lead an internal design team.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for UX and UI across mobile and web products and make the final call on design decisions.
• Work with Product to understand users through research, data, funnels and session replays, then turn insights into prioritized hypotheses.
• Design low-effort experiments and A/B tests with Product and Engineering, learning quickly and iterating without dropping quality.
• Deliver flows, prototypes, high-fidelity designs and interaction specs with pixel-perfect execution.
• Create and own the design language, components and patterns so design stays fast and consistent across platforms.
• Represent design in leadership discussions and challenge product or technical decisions that harm the experience.
• Manage external partners (agencies, UX writers, researchers) and hire, mentor and grow the internal team.

Required profile

• 7+ years in product design, with extensive experience on mobile-first consumer products.
• A strong portfolio showing UX/UI craft, product thinking and end-to-end work shipped at scale.
• Experience as the sole or lead designer with full ownership of design decisions.
• Experience leading or mentoring designers, or managing agencies and external partners.
• Ability to move fast without losing quality, and confidence presenting work to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• English at B2 or above; a background in mobile apps, gaming, rewards, fintech or marketplaces is a plus.

Required skills

• User research, usability testing, hypothesis-driven design, rapid prototyping and A/B testing.
• Animation, transitions and microinteractions, and practical use of AI tools in the design workflow.
• Nice to have: product analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude or PostHog, motion design, and experience building a design system across platforms.
