Lead VAT Analyst – Indirect Tax Specialist

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a Lead VAT Analyst to join its Finance Hub in Turkey. The role will be based at the Gebze plant and supports GE affiliates across multiple countries, focusing on indirect tax compliance, analysis, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex indirect tax returns (VAT, WHT, Special Consumption Tax) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identify potential errors, implement corrective actions, and coordinate with external advisors and internal tax managers.
• Prepare data for VAT refunds and support internal/external audits related to indirect taxes.
• Lead training initiatives for tax return preparers and other accounting functions.
• Drive process and system improvements for Turkish and Middle‑East projects, including standardisation and simplification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in indirect taxes within a multinational environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Turkish.
• Willingness to live in Istanbul or Kocaeli and work at the Gebze plant.

Required skills

• Proficient use of SAP for tax and finance processes.
