Legal Counsel

About the role

Artmin Madencilik is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to lead corporate law, contract, and litigation matters across its mining operations. The role involves advising business units, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with Turkish mining regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate law matters under the Turkish Commercial Code, including board resolutions, trade registry processes, and share transfers.
• Draft, review, negotiate and oversee a wide range of commercial contracts in Turkish and English, such as EPC, construction, procurement, and mining contractor agreements.
• Assess contractual risks, advise on claims, notices, and dispute avoidance, and support day‑to‑day legal issues arising from mining activities.
• Monitor compliance with Mining Law No. 3213, environmental permits, EIA processes, and other regulatory approvals.
• Coordinate litigation and enforcement proceedings with external counsel and provide legal opinions to management.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, including budgeting and performance oversight.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree (Master’s degree is an asset).
• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in a multinational company or reputable law firm.
• Strong background in corporate law and commercial contracts, with experience in mining, energy, construction, or industrial sectors considered a plus.

Required skills

• Excellent written and spoken English with strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of Turkish Commercial Code and Mining Law.
• Proven analytical, communication, and follow‑up skills.
