Logistics and Asset Custodian

About the role

Spektrum supports NATO, UN, EU and national government and defence purchasers and their Tier 1 suppliers with specialist services. It is recruiting a Logistics and Asset Custodian to manage the physical flow and accountability of NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) equipment: receipt, storage, issue and shipment, asset lifecycle records and custodial accountability for an assigned asset portfolio. The role keeps the asset register and physical inventory accurately aligned, as asset accuracy is a measured KPI.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, ticket, check in, store and distribute CIS equipment and inventory items, updating the logistics system of record (EBA or equivalent).
• Create requisitions, record receipts of materiel and maintain property accounts for the assigned area.
• Act as custodian for an assigned asset portfolio: issue and custody of property, stock-takes, reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
• Coordinate annual inventory inspections with the CIS points of contact of supported entities and customers.
• Investigate, document and report equipment discrepancies, and apply the property disposal process and SOPs, including transfers, loans and returns.
• Register, tag, track and audit assets and software licences through their lifecycle.
• Carry out warehouse activities (receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping), maintain warehouse equipment and use pallet trucks and load-bearing equipment.
• Produce inventory and assurance reports.

Required profile

• Secondary education or vocational qualification in logistics, supply chain or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years or more of experience in supply, logistics or supply chain management, ideally with IT or technical equipment.
• Right to work and reside in Turkey (work and residence permit or Turkish citizenship) by the start date.
• Valid NATO SECRET security clearance (or a national SECRET clearance recognised for NATO SECRET) at the start of the assignment.

Required skills

• Inventory management, stock-taking, tracking and reconciliation.
• Experience with an inventory, ERP or asset management system; good Excel skills and accurate record keeping.
• Desirable: 1 to 3 years with NATO EBA, knowledge of NCI logistics procedures and property accounting, ITSM/CMDB-based asset management, forklift certification and a valid driving licence.

The position is based in Izmir, with support to the CIS Support Element in Ankara and other NATO locations as needed, on site during normal working hours. Travel to other NATO sites in the area of responsibility may be required.
