Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist leads and manages end-to-end logistics operations for local, regional and international shipments, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency and operational excellence. The role acts as a strategic liaison between internal teams, suppliers and logistics service providers, driving process improvements and minimising operational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage end-to-end logistics plans for domestic, regional and international shipments by air, sea, land or courier.
• Optimise schedules, monitor transit progress and resolve delays proactively to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate complex multi-leg shipments and prioritise high-value or critical goods.
• Prepare, validate and maintain shipping and trade compliance documents such as CIPL, COO, BOL, HS codes, DG certificates and customs declarations, and ensure accurate, timely submission.
• Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations, import/export laws, Incoterms, trade restrictions and hazardous material handling requirements, and update processes when regulations change.
• Select, evaluate and manage logistics service providers (freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters), negotiate contracts and service agreements, and resolve vendor disputes.
• Minimise demurrage, detention and avoidable penalties, identify cost-saving opportunities, and follow QHSSE, Group Compliance Manual, ethics and supply chain standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field; OFSE industry experience preferred.

• Experience with SAP.
