Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the Maintenance Department at the pladis Ülker Bisküvi factory in Ankara. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability and continuous improvement of production equipment and automation systems in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve availability of mechanical, electrical, electronic and automation equipment.
• Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, commissioning and performance optimisation activities.
• Support preventive, predictive and continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost OEE and productivity.
• Implement Industry 4.0 solutions such as IoT, data‑driven maintenance and machine‑vision technologies.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality and occupational health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in maintenance and/or automation within FMCG, food manufacturing or similar process industries.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Leadership potential to develop frontline technical teams.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Hands‑on experience with sensors, servo systems, drives and motors.
• Familiarity with TPM, OEE, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP PM, CMMS).
• Exposure to machine‑vision, IoT and data‑driven maintenance practices.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems in industrial equipment.
