Maintenance Engineer – Plant Akyazı

About the role

Yazaki is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its Akyazı plant in Sakarya, Turkey. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting production through proactive maintenance and effective spare‑part management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed downtime analyses and monitor chronic equipment malfunctions.
• Lead and mobilise the maintenance team to implement prompt corrective actions.
• Manage timely procurement of spare parts for assigned production areas.
• Utilise the SAP maintenance module for work orders, asset data, and reporting.
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve processes and reduce spare‑part costs.
• Work hands‑on on the shop floor within a uniquely structured maintenance organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering also considered.
• Basic exposure to corporate life; extensive experience not required.
• Hands‑on, field‑oriented mindset with the ability to work directly on the shop floor.
• Advanced written and spoken English and Turkish.
• Strong capability to manage technical processes and a blue‑collar team.
• Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Sakarya‑Kocaeli provinces.
