Maintenance Manager – Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Planning

About the role

We are seeking experienced Maintenance Managers to lead the mechanical, electrical & instrumentation, and planning & turnaround functions for a new greenfield petrochemical complex in the Ceyhan Energy Specialized Industrial Zone, Adana, Turkey. The role covers the full plant lifecycle from pre‑commissioning through start‑up to ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead maintenance readiness activities during pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up for the assigned discipline.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, work processes and performance standards.
• Build, lead and develop a competent maintenance team, ensuring required technical expertise.
• Review engineering and equipment documentation to guarantee maintainability and operational readiness.
• Ensure effective preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
• Coordinate with Production and other functions for equipment troubleshooting, shutdowns and performance improvement.
• Define spare‑parts, tools, workshop and contractor readiness requirements.
• Prepare scopes of work and manage service‑contract documentation for subcontracted activities.
• Guarantee compliance with HSE requirements, permit‑to‑work procedures and technical standards.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, equipment performance, backlog and costs, driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring cost control.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on leadership experience in plant maintenance, preferably in petrochemical or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop high‑performing maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Excellent coordination skills with production, engineering and HSE functions.
• Experience managing budgets and driving cost‑effective maintenance solutions.
