Maintenance Planning Engineer

About the role

The Maintenance Planning Engineer develops and optimizes preventive maintenance strategies, leads planning and scheduling and improves equipment reliability to support sustainable production. The role bridges engineering excellence with operational needs, keeping maintenance effective, cost-efficient and aligned with safety and quality standards. The position is based in Konya.

Key responsibilities

• Create, manage and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans
• Develop daily, weekly and shutdown maintenance schedules with cross-functional alignment
• Analyze equipment breakdowns and carry out root cause analyses (RCA)
• Track and control maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, OEE) and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with production, engineering and third-party service providers to ensure high uptime
• Manage spare part inventory planning and keep SAP/CMMS systems up to date
• Support TPM initiatives, especially under the PM pillar
• Lead or take part in cost-saving and digitalization projects
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in maintenance planning, budgeting and optimization
• Familiarity with RCA and continuous improvement methods; hands-on CMMS experience (SAP PM, Boysweb, DFOS)
• Strong management, leadership and influencing skills, with a proven track record of improvement initiatives
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance optimization and cost saving; TPM and Lean tools desirable
• Fluent Turkish and English; living in or willing to live in Konya
