Marketing Controller

About the role

The Marketing Controller supports the preparation and monitoring of marketing and trade marketing business plans, tracks financial performance, and ensures timely reporting to headquarters. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the role works closely with the marketing team and budget owners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month‑end closing, including marketing accruals, master data maintenance, and preparation of P&L and balance‑sheet dashboards.
• Analyze actual vs. plan variances, perform checks on high‑volume postings, and present insights to the Country Management Team.
• Collect, validate, and enter Business Plan data, manage planning timelines, and challenge budget assumptions.
• Prepare finance review materials, detailed monthly reports by function/project/account, and build financial simulations for new projects.
• Review and approve marketing agreements, ensure compliance, and support commercial teams on financial processes.

Required profile

• Degree qualified, preferably with an accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of controlling experience in consumer goods.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to identify risks, impacts, and alternatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of interacting with senior stakeholders.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Familiarity with integrated business analysis tools such as SAP BI or Hyperion.
• Experience with Concur posting processes.
