Material Planning Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Material Planning Team Leader to oversee material planning operations at our Akyazı plant. The role involves leading a team, coordinating with suppliers and production, and ensuring timely material flow for automotive manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the material planning team, managing operational processes, workflows, and execution.
• Conduct daily morning reviews to monitor critical material status, track potential stockouts, and implement immediate action plans.
• Approve and execute material orders in line with production plans and supplier agreements, handling end‑to‑end order confirmation.
• Optimize supplier lead times and Minimum Order Quantities to balance inventory, accelerate material cycles, and reduce costs.
• Coordinate material pickups and deliveries with transport providers, ensuring seamless integration with warehouse and production.
• Act as a solution‑oriented mediator across departments to maintain smooth communication and manage operational pressure.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of material planning reports, operational outputs, and department KPIs.
• Maintain strict compliance with ISMS policies, KVKK data‑protection regulations, and company procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of solid experience in material planning, supply chain, or production control, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership capability with a focus on process management.
• Fluent in English and Turkish, both written and spoken.
• Current residence in or willingness to relocate to the Sakarya‑Kocaeli region.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP MM or Oracle/Netsis.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially expert‑level MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in using MS Office applications for documentation and communication.
