Mechanic Technician – Property Vehicles Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanic Technician will ensure that all property vehicles – including engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts – are kept in safe, reliable condition. You will work on a full‑time basis within the JW Marriott Istanbul Marmara Sea facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on oil, fluid levels, tire pressure, battery charge and spark plugs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, and requisition items as needed.
• Record daily operation, maintenance and safety activities in logs, noting test results and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow all safety and security policies, report hazards, and store flammable materials correctly.
• Communicate professionally with staff, prepare written documents and answer telephone inquiries.
• Assist with physical tasks such as moving, lifting and inspecting equipment.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle or equipment maintenance.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

• Vehicle maintenance (oil, fluids, tires, batteries, spark plugs).
• Tool and equipment preventative maintenance.
• Inventory management and parts requisition.
• Maintenance record‑keeping.
• Safety compliance and hazard reporting.
