Mechanical Design Engineer – High-Tech Entertainment

About the role

Our client, a global pioneer in high‑tech entertainment and amusement, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead product development and design optimisation for motion platforms, VR experiences and interactive attractions. The role combines hands‑on mechanical engineering, technical sales support and cross‑functional collaboration across international projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute engineering projects, from concept through to production, for new products or modifications of existing lines.
• Optimise part designs for quality, cost, dimensional accuracy and functionality, and prepare detailed production drawings and assembly guides.
• Provide technical expertise to the sales team for international opportunities and conduct feasibility studies for custom designs.
• Evaluate manufacturability, oversee production processes, and resolve non‑conformities during manufacturing or operation.
• Plan and carry out mechanical/structural testing, validation activities and document results.
• Use ERP project‑management modules to perform cost analyses and report to senior management.
• Present technical topics in English at international project and business meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mechanical and sheet‑metal design.
• Advanced written and spoken English, capable of delivering technical presentations.
• Strong knowledge of materials, electrical systems, automation and manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX.
• High proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
• Competency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with engineering simulation tools such as ADAMS and ANSYS (preferred).
• Experience with ERP project‑management modules for cost analysis and reporting.
