Mechanical Design Engineer (Junior / Mid-Level)

About the role

Omtegra designs and delivers intralogistics and automation solutions for demanding material handling operations. As its engineering team grows, it is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take an active role in designing conveyor systems, material handling equipment and custom automation solutions. Both junior engineers with strong fundamentals and mid-level engineers with relevant design and manufacturing experience are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D designs for conveyor systems and mechanical equipment using SolidWorks
• Create part and assembly models, manufacturing drawings and design revisions
• Design sheet metal components, welded structures and mechanical assemblies
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, material lists and technical documentation
• Support component selection and technical evaluations
• Follow designs through manufacturing and assembly
• Coordinate with project, production, procurement, customers and suppliers
• Track engineering tasks, deadlines, revisions and technical action items

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
• Ability to read and prepare technical drawings
• Knowledge of sheet metal, welded structures, machine elements and basic manufacturing processes
• Strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills; ability to manage several tasks and take ownership
• Good command of English for technical documentation and communication
• Nice to have: experience in conveyor systems, intralogistics, material handling or industrial automation, and knowledge of geared motors, bearings, belts, pulleys and pneumatic equipment
