Mechanical Technician

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance of building and industrial systems. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure reliable operation of mechanical, electrical and other installed equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing preventive maintenance on facility mechanical, electrical and building systems.
• Assist with modifications and upgrades to building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders, estimate time and materials, and track completion using internal systems.
• Support energy management initiatives to maximize system efficiency.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools and supplies required for work orders.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED or trade school diploma (or equivalent experience).
• 1‑2 years of experience in mechanical or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting 50 lb loads and climbing ladders.
• Basic communication skills and ability to follow standard work routines.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
