Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs across hotel rooms and public areas, ensuring all systems operate at the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms and public areas.
• Read natural gas, fuel and water meters daily and record readings.
• Implement the fault reporting system efficiently.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance programmes.
• Maintain accurate technical service records.
• Assemble, disassemble and repair machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC units, pumps, boilers, chillers, fire pumps, water filters and disinfection systems, coordinating external contractors only when necessary.
• Ensure quality inspections comply with company standards.
• Build good relationships with internal and external customers.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required profile

• Accredited mechanical competency certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering high‑level customer service.
• Professional appearance and flexibility to adapt to varying work situations.
• Ability to work independently.
