Menswear Designer – Knit & Woven

About the role

DeFacto is seeking an experienced Menswear Designer specialized in knit and woven collections to create designs that resonate with the brand’s target customers and align with global fashion trends.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor world fashion trends and attend international fashion fairs.
• Conduct store visits and market analysis to inform design decisions.
• Develop designs suitable for the brand’s target customer group.
• Define the product range within each collection and collaborate with the product team on cost considerations.
• Participate in fit sessions to ensure appropriate fit for the target market.

Required profile

• B.F.A. or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in knit and woven menswear design.
• Strong understanding of the brand’s customer segment and ability to translate trends into designs.
• Good command of English and willingness to travel abroad.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
