Mid-level PHP/MySQL Software Developer (Fintech)

About the role

Juuli is a fast‑growing fintech platform that provides financial accounts, card issuing and payment infrastructure for solopreneurs and small businesses. We are looking for a mid‑level Software Developer to join our remote‑first engineering team, focusing on PHP and MySQL while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain features in our PHP/MySQL backend.
• Use AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate development.
• Review, test and validate AI‑generated code before it reaches production.
• Manage version control with Git, handling branching, commits and pull‑requests.
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack, from database queries to application logic.
• Collaborate with teammates on technical decisions and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Solid experience with PHP and MySQL.
• High proficiency with Claude Code and/or Cursor, comfortable with an AI‑assisted workflow.
• Strong knowledge of Git branching and PR workflows.
• Mid‑level experience: able to work independently without deep architectural leadership.
• Fintech experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Self‑disciplined remote worker, available 10:00–17:00.
