NATO Technical Recruiter (Commission-Based)

About the role

WLG, a technical recruitment agency, is looking for an IT Recruiter to join its Defence Recruitment Practice. The role focuses on highly specialized NATO and defence vacancies, sourcing niche technical professionals across Europe for projects in cybersecurity, cloud, software engineering, SAP, infrastructure, AI and digital transformation. It is not a standard IT recruitment role and starts as a commission-only opportunity with uncapped earnings; strong performers may later receive a long-term position with a fixed base salary plus performance incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Source and identify candidates for NATO, defence, cybersecurity, engineering, SAP, cloud, infrastructure and software development roles.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines across NATO member countries.
• Screen candidates and verify their eligibility, nationality requirements, security clearance status and availability.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through offer acceptance, and coordinate interviews between candidates and clients.
• Maintain regular contact with candidates and keep their data accurate in the ATS.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Delivery teams and proactively build talent pools for future opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Fluent English (C1 or above).
• Comfortable working in a performance-driven, commission-based environment.

Required skills

• Strong sourcing and headhunting skills, including engaging passive candidates.
• Communication and interviewing skills.
• Ability to manage several vacancies at once and work independently.
