Occupational Health Physician Leader (Onsite)

About the role

Pegasus Airlines is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician Leader to head its on‑site occupational health unit. The role involves overseeing medical staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting the airline’s workforce across its operations in Turkey.

Key responsibilities

• Lead occupational physicians and healthcare personnel, fostering team development.
• Monitor and implement legal obligations related to occupational health and safety.
• Ensure compliance with national and international regulations and coordinate with legal authorities.
• Improve medical activities to increase quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
• Provide guidance to the employer on occupational health matters.
• Oversee pre‑employment and periodic health examinations, laboratory tests, and radiological examinations.
• Deliver first‑aid response for work‑related accidents and coordinate emergency referrals.
• Plan and conduct required training for workplace physicians.

Required profile

• Medical Faculty graduate with a Ministry of Labor and Social Security approved Occupational Health Physician certificate.
• Minimum 10 years experience in hazardous or very hazardous workplaces.
• Proven team management and leadership experience.
• Preferably holds an Aviation Medicine Certificate and experience in civil aviation occupational medicine.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
• Fluent in English and able to reside on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
