Occupational Physician

About the role

Aksa Carbon seeks an Occupational Physician to lead employee health and safety initiatives in an industrial manufacturing environment. The role focuses on preventive healthcare, health surveillance, and emergency medical response.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve occupational health processes in line with national and international regulations.
• Conduct pre‑employment and periodic medical examinations, assess fitness for work, and maintain medical records.
• Evaluate health impacts of occupational hazards, especially chemical exposure, and contribute to risk assessments.
• Provide medical assistance during occupational accidents, participate in incident investigations, and support industrial emergency preparedness.
• Deliver training and awareness activities to foster a strong occupational health and safety culture.

Required profile

• Medical degree recognized by Turkish authorities and a valid Occupational Physician Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Occupational Physician, preferably in manufacturing with shift operations.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish occupational health and safety legislation and standards.
• Ability to assess health risks related to chemical and ergonomic hazards.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to reside in or relocate to Yalova/Karamürsel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with electronic health record or occupational health management systems.
