Ocean Freight Export Operation Specialist

About the role

DP World is looking for a detail-oriented Ocean Freight Export Operation Specialist to manage end-to-end ocean export operations and coordinate smoothly with all stakeholders. The role ensures operational excellence, compliance with international trade regulations and high-quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage seafreight export operations from order receipt to final invoicing, with accurate and timely flow of documentation and shipment information.
• Coordinate with customers, customs brokers, shipping lines and overseas agents, and monitor shipments for customs and trade regulation compliance.
• Prepare and review shipping instructions, confirm draft Bills of Lading and ensure timely document release; issue Bills of Lading and invoices after vessel departure.
• Work with finance on account control, payment collection and document release, and organize payment processes so original documents reach the right parties.
• Send pre-alerts and shipment details to overseas agents, control costs, calculate profit margins and manage invoicing in the system.
• Maintain accurate system entries (shipment data, costs) and support reporting, while keeping regular contact with customers and supporting business development.
• Evaluate suppliers, report new supplier opportunities and support sales teams with alternative solutions.
• Review and approve invoices, coordinate with accounting, and support documentation, archiving and team meetings.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Maritime, International Trade or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in seafreight export operations.
• Good knowledge of customs regulations and ocean freight processes.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Valid Class B driving licence; military service preferably completed for male candidates.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication, coordination and teamwork skills.
