Operation Analyst

About the role

Tricon, a global leader in the trading and distribution of petrochemicals, polymers and raw materials, is hiring an Operation Analyst in Istanbul. The role manages the product, documentation and payment flow for physical trades and coordinates vessel and container loading and discharge operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the product, documentation and payment flow for physical trades, coordinating with customers, suppliers, freight providers and internal teams.
• Plan and coordinate vessel and container loading and discharge with ship brokers, freight forwarders and other logistics providers.
• Assess transportation options, including prior cargoes, tank conditions and materials of construction, to ensure safe carriage and compliance with customer specifications.
• Manage import and export customs processes and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade and shipment data in the ERP system in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with Finance, Credit, Compliance and other teams so trade requirements are properly managed.
• Negotiate rates and service terms with third-party logistics, freight and inspection service providers.
• Communicate shipment status and key operational details proactively with local and international teams.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and service providers and identify ways to improve processes, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade operations or physical commodity movements preferred.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and attention-to-detail skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, shipping documentation and international trade processes preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
