Planning / Cost Control Engineer

About the role

Tüpraş, Turkey's leading energy producer, is seeking a Planning / Cost Control Engineer to join its project controls team. You will support investment projects, maintain schedules, and ensure cost performance across refinery and related facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools, aligning with approved baselines and milestones.
• Prepare and consolidate the annual CAPEX program, create portfolio master schedules, and produce progress dashboards for stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasts, cost reporting and estimate‑at‑completion calculations throughout project lifecycles.
• Track purchase orders, contracts, change orders and actual costs in coordination with procurement and project teams.
• Monitor performance using Earned Value Management, critical‑path analysis and schedule risk assessments, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Validate contractors’ progress payments, invoices, schedules and productivity reports against contractual terms.
• Assist with risk management, delay analysis, extension‑of‑time assessments and claim support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in project controls, planning/scheduling or cost control for construction projects; refinery experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 or MS Project proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP PS or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
