Planning Engineer

About the role

MAT Filtration Technologies, a design, manufacturing and contracting company in the MEP and specialty filtration field based in Izmir, Turkey, is looking for a Planning Engineer. The role supports production, material and project planning activities with strong analytical thinking, a results-driven mindset and a collaborative approach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) according to customer orders, sales forecasts and operational objectives.
• Perform material requirements planning, create purchase requisitions and warehouse reservations, and follow up related processes.
• Use Netsis ERP and workflow systems (E-Flow) to keep production and supply chain operations running smoothly.
• Monitor production and subcontracting work orders for assigned projects.
• Monitor procurement of critical and long lead-time materials and manage delivery risks proactively.
• Carry out short-, medium- and long-term capacity planning, bottleneck analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage inventory control and optimisation to keep target stock levels.
• Coordinate planning across Project Management, Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality and Logistics.
• Track KPIs and prepare reports and presentations for decision-making.
• Take part in continuous improvement and report progress against monthly and annual departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in production, material or project planning, preferably in a project-based manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Netsis ERP, and with E-Flow or similar workflow tools.
• Knowledge of BOM, routing, work orders and MRP; solid understanding of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management and project management.
• Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills, and experience in process improvement.
• Completed military service (for male candidates).
• Resides in Izmir or is willing to relocate.
