Principal RF Application Engineer - Phased Array

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a Principal RF Application Engineer to join its RF Semiconductor team in Istanbul, Turkey. The role covers phase-array design and system integration, working with highly motivated product development and design teams globally.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop antennas and phased-array systems based on silicon components.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts for demo boards and customer reference designs, including user guides.
• Evaluate products and application scenarios using bench equipment.
• Develop application tools, reference boards and software that demonstrate product capabilities and solve complex integration challenges.
• Take part in customer visits to help sales assess product fit.
• Analyse competitor products, build comparison methodologies and share strategic insights.
• Create and deliver advanced technical documentation and training.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred.
• Experience in antenna design and phased arrays.
• Typically 10+ years in product applications engineering, customer technical support or related roles; less experience may be acceptable with a relevant Master's or doctorate.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills, comfort with calculated risk, curiosity about the business model and operations, and a high tolerance for ambiguity.

• System line-up and budget simulations.

The role requires travel about 10% of the time and variable shifts. For positions needing access to technical data, export licensing review may be required.
