Process Engineer

About the role

The Process Engineer is a shift‑based production leadership role responsible for safe, stable and efficient operations across our Focus Factory environment, covering Personal Care/Liquid, Soap and Toothbrush manufacturing. The position blends production/process engineering, front‑line people leadership and maintenance/project coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day shift operations, supervise operators and manage manpower allocation.
• Monitor safety, quality, service, cost and productivity targets, including OEE, downtime and energy consumption.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, quality and microbiology standards and participate in risk assessments.
• Apply Lean/WCM tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED and standard work to reduce losses and improve changeovers.
• Act as the first technical escalation point, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation and process issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate first‑level maintenance activities, support autonomous maintenance and contribute to equipment reliability.
• Support or lead improvement projects, equipment modifications, commissioning, trials and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a hands‑on engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Control & Automation, Naval Architecture or related).
• 2–3 years of experience in production, process engineering, maintenance or reliability in a plant environment.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proven ability to lead front‑line production teams and work across shift teams.
• Willingness to work a rotating 2‑ or 3‑shift schedule.

Required skills

• PLC programming and logic, HMI operation, sensors and mechatronics troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP or other production‑related ERP/MES systems.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
• Application of Lean/WCM tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, root‑cause analysis).
