Process Engineer - Paint Coatings

About the role

Jotun Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., a paint manufacturer operating since 1989 with more than 750 employees, is looking for a Process Engineer for its paint coatings business in Tekirdag. The role creates and maintains optimised production processes and formulations that deliver the right quality and quantity of products, including right first time and stable throughput time.

Key responsibilities

• Make formulations available for products with specific and optimised process parameters, and update and change them as required by Group R&D
• Support and coach production operators on process optimisation every day, and describe the local production process so operators can train sustainably
• Optimise recipes to stay competitive in the local market within the framework set by regional and global R&D
• Give technical support and cooperate closely with maintenance, and follow up on process and quality deviations
• Investigate product complaints and evaluate the need for improvements
• Prepare, review and revise production standards and work instructions, and maintain and regularly update the skill matrix to ensure employee competency and development
• Give training to relevant personnel

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills; native Turkish
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the paint, ink or petrochemical industry
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial processes
• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Çerkezköy, Çorlu or Kapaklı
