Process Team Lead

About the role

The Process Team Lead oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring high‑quality product delivery in compliance with GMP, HSE and Novartis standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible shop‑floor leadership, manage production schedules, and coordinate personnel, materials and equipment to maintain continuous flow.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Champion operational excellence through Lean, TPM, digitalisation and productivity projects.
• Ensure full GMP, HSE and quality compliance, support audits and maintain inspection readiness.
• Develop and coach the team, translate strategic objectives into clear goals and monitor training and competency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Life Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 2 years in people leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure and drive change.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of GMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and ERP platforms such as SAP.
• Proficiency in Lean Management, Operational Excellence methodologies and TPM.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause investigations, data analytics and performance visualization.
