Procurement Specialist

About the role

Recordati is seeking a motivated Procurement Specialist to join its direct procurement team. The role acts as a strategic business partner for internal stakeholders and the primary point of contact for suppliers, overseeing end‑to‑end procurement operations for APIs, excipients and packaging materials.

Key responsibilities

• Manage strategic procurement processes for APIs, excipients and packaging, from sourcing to delivery.
• Identify, assess and onboard alternative suppliers in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Utilise internal vendor management and e‑tender platforms to run transparent, competitive tender processes.
• Coordinate with Planning to align MRP processes and demand forecasts, ensuring uninterrupted production.
• Integrate environmental, social and ethical sustainability criteria into supplier selection and evaluation.
• Support customs clearance activities together with the Customs Operations Specialist.
• Track order cycles, own OTIF performance and ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures.
• Contribute to regional procurement initiatives across the MENA region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic procurement or category management within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams and drive supplier development initiatives.
• Strong understanding of digital sourcing tools, e‑tender platforms and MRP processes.
• Commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to end‑to‑end order tracking.

Required skills

• Experience with vendor management and e‑tender platforms.
• Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures for imported goods.
