Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage international purchasing, import logistics and customs coordination for our manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will ensure seamless material flow from order confirmation to delivery, supporting our supply chain continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and follow up procurement processes for materials, focusing on international purchases and post‑PO activities.
• Coordinate order confirmations, production readiness, shipment plans, customs clearance and final delivery to the plant.
• Work with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal stakeholders to manage international shipments.
• Monitor supply risks and implement mitigation actions to maintain uninterrupted raw‑material availability.
• Obtain and compare freight quotations, select transportation modes and logistics providers.
• Review import and shipping documentation, resolve missing documents, delays or customs issues.
• Maintain accurate order, shipment and delivery data in ERP systems and generate regular status reports.
• Collaborate with Planning, Production, Quality, Finance and Warehouse teams to ensure continuous supply.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, international purchasing, import operations or logistics.
• Strong command of written and spoken English for communication with international partners.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to Yalova, İzmit or the Anatolian side of Istanbul.
• No restriction on domestic or international travel.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for order tracking, quotation comparison and data analysis.
• ERP systems experience, preferably Oracle and/or SAP.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, international payment terms and shipping documentation.
• Experience with freight quotation analysis and logistics provider selection.
