Production Assistant / Stage Manager (Freelance)

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a freelance Production Assistant / Stage Manager for The Jury Experience in Turkey. You will run the technical and operational execution of the show on site via QLab, reporting to the Fever Originals Producer and Project Manager. The engagement is with an independent contractor (freelance, VAT-registered), based in Istanbul, with remote work allowed and on-site presence in Turkey as required.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-production: scout venues, technical service providers and talent agencies when asked, filter options against technical riders, budget and casting briefs, and keep the Producer and Project Manager updated.
• Pre-production: review AV materials, the script and cue sheets, proofread and translate production materials from English into Turkish, record Turkish voiceovers, complete QLab training and join kick-off and weekly alignment meetings.
• Manage local stakeholders (cast, talent agency, venues), prepare the show proactively and flag risks early, and supervise and record rehearsals.
• Before the show: check the venue is ready, welcome actors, brief them on schedules and logistics, and coordinate entrances, exits and stage timing.
• During the show: show call the live performance, take full ownership of show control in QLab, run scene, lighting, sound and video changes, manage voting and verdicts, troubleshoot technical issues and keep the show on its intended narrative.
• Handle attendees, cast and third parties professionally in line with Fever's brand and customer experience guidelines.

Required profile

• Native Turkish and fluent English.
• Experience in theatre or live event production or stage management, including show calling.
• Strong organisation and autonomy, confident managing relationships with suppliers and cast.
• Based in Turkey (Istanbul).

Required skills

• Knowledge of QLab, or willingness to learn it through Fever's training.
• Familiarity with live lighting, sound and video.

What we offer

• Fixed fee of 25,000 TL gross per day plus amenities, plus a standard pre-production fee of 50,000 TL.
• A variable fee depending on Fever Originals' requests and the economic arrangement between the parties.
