Production Manager, Yachting

About the role

A globally recognized leader in the yacht-building industry is looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee production activities and coordinate multidisciplinary teams. Working closely with Project Management, Engineering, Operations and Quality Control, the manager ensures complex yacht-building projects are delivered successfully, with quality, cost and delivery targets met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage production plans, schedules, work packages and delivery milestones for new-build yacht projects.
• Coordinate production activities such as painting, outfitting, piping, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical systems, interior fit-out and carpentry.
• Organize production sites and optimize workforce, equipment, materials and resources across multiple projects.
• Monitor progress, planned versus actual man-hours, productivity, costs, quality and delivery performance.
• Prepare regular management reports on production performance, project risks, resource needs and improvement initiatives.
• Work with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Commissioning teams to implement project execution plans.
• Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring technical specifications, contracts, schedules and deliveries.
• Identify bottlenecks and risks and drive continuous improvement; ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE and environmental regulations.
• Support yacht launching, commissioning, sea trials and final delivery from a production perspective.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in production management, shipbuilding, yacht building or marine engineering.
• Proven experience in new-build yacht production, including painting and outfitting; applications from candidates without shipbuilding experience will not be considered.
• Experience in subcontractor management and KPI-driven operational management.
• Fluent English; based in Antalya or willing to relocate, and willing to travel internationally when required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of shipbuilding production processes, production planning, project scheduling, workforce planning and resource management.
• Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, Power BI or similar planning and reporting tools is an advantage.
• Leadership, analytical thinking, planning, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
