Production Shift Lead

About the role

PepsiCo is seeking a Production Shift Lead to oversee manufacturing operations during a designated shift. The role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of production plans while driving performance across safety, quality, service, cost, and people priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing activities on the assigned shift, ensuring execution of production plans and achievement of safety, quality, service, cost, and people targets.
• Directly manage shift‑based frontline employees, handling workforce deployment, performance management, coaching, capability development, engagement, and succession planning.
• Act as the senior operational leader during the shift, making timely decisions and coordinating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and EHS functions.
• Drive shift performance through daily management systems, KPI reviews, QCDM processes, and structured problem‑solving to meet operational excellence goals.
• Ensure full compliance with PepsiCo food safety, quality, GMP, FSSC, AIB, environmental, and occupational health & safety standards, taking immediate corrective actions when needed.
• Lead continuous‑improvement, productivity, waste‑reduction, and cost‑optimization initiatives, implementing Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence programs.
• Monitor production plan attainment, equipment performance, and resource utilization to maximize efficiency and meet customer demand.
• Facilitate frontline communication, including shift handovers, team meetings, performance reviews, and employee feedback discussions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading shift‑based manufacturing teams in a food‑or‑beverage environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality, GMP, and EHS compliance requirements.
• Ability to make rapid operational decisions and coordinate cross‑functional activities.
• Demonstrated capability in driving continuous‑improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills for effective team engagement and stakeholder alignment.
